Core Fluency is going INTERNATIONAL this summer !
The original dream, for which Core Fluency International Spanish classes began, was to empower students with practical Spanish and to inspire authentic, adventurous, “off road style” travel abroad. We wished to encourage students to authentically experience international travel, in order to learn the richness of different cultures, to renew their sense of adventure, wonder, and learning, and to be able to purposefully and directly apply their acquisition of Spanish in the real world. We are so happy to announce that our FIRST travel-study course will take place in the summer of 2012. We hope to add many trips each summer, in the future, to a variety of countries!
Our first Off Road Adventure Travel-Study Immersion Course will take place in Sayulita, Mexico, this Summer, for Intermediate Spanish students! The 60-hour Immersion Course will include a mix of formal group classes on the porches of our beach-front houses, interactive experiential group classes in the town, and time for students to practice their Spanish in the real world, while exploring the small town, the beach, the trails, and the local businesses. We are ditching the guide books, the fancy resorts, and the pre-planned tours. We are opting, instead, for spontaneous activities with the locals, special pre-arranged meetings with local families, and purposeful, adventurous learning activities (such as shopping adventures, cooking lessons, scavenger hunts, and writing/video/photography assignments). We can’t wait to share the results with you in August!
